How to use this site
This scheduler publishes monthly call lists and collects surgeon requests. Use the menu on the left (or the menu at the top on small screens) to move between sections.
What is available (everyone)
- Home opens the Call List for the current month: the published call schedule. You can change month from that page when options are shown.
- Requests is where surgeons (or their delegates) submit or remove unavailability, no-call, and study-leave requests for a selected surgeon.
- Availability Calendar is a read-only overview: cohort tabs, a heat map by day (lighter means more surgeons available in that cohort), and a day panel listing who is available or not after you click a date.
- Admin Login is for staff who build schedules, manage surgeons, and publish versions.
Submit a request (Requests page)
- Open Requests and click your name in the surgeon grid. The page reloads with the calendar for that surgeon.
- Choose the request type: Unavailable, No Call Request, or Study Leave.
- Click individual dates on the calendar to add them to your submission (they appear with a dark green background). Click again to remove a date.
- Use Jan–Jun / Jul–Dec and the calendar’s prev / next / today controls if you need a different part of the year. You can switch between the six-month and month views from the calendar toolbar when needed.
- Click Submit Request. You must have at least one date selected and a request type chosen, or the page will prompt you.
Delete a request (Requests page)
- With the same surgeon selected, find the existing colored blocks on the calendar (unavailable, no-call, or study-leave).
- Click a block to mark it for deletion: it gets a red border. Click again to unmark.
- Click Delete Selected Requests and confirm in the dialog. Only the marked ranges are removed.
Deadlines
When a cutoff is configured, new requests that fall in the next calendar month may be closed for standard users after the deadline. You can still submit for later months. Administrators can override those restrictions. Any active deadline and banner text also appear on the Requests page.
Availability Calendar in short
Open Availability Calendar, pick a cohort tab, scan the heat colors (white toward more availability, red toward less), then click a day to see Available and Not Available lists for that cohort. This view does not edit requests.
